A major goal and desire of many clients is learning how to connect with themselves.
It’s common to grow up focused on the needs and feelings of those around us. Over time, this physical and emotional caretaking of others becomes a life-habit that is difficult to break.
It leaves us disconnected from our own needs, our own dreams, and most importantly, from our own feelings and emotions.
We find ourselves unable to find meaning in life unless it comes from caretaking those around us.
The journey toward “self” begins by paying attention to how we are feeling and then learning to honor those feelings by not putting our-“self” away just because another person’s needs and feelings happen to come into our awareness.
